Objectives
Established by statute in July 1978, the Hong Kong Q-Mark Scheme is administered by the Hong Kong Q-Mark Council under the auspices of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries. The Scheme has developed into a widely recognised quality certification scheme within the region.
| Objectives |
 |
Foster industrial development by enhancing the quality of products and services, and environmental conservation, as well as management systems in compliance with internationally recognised standards. |
 |
Acknowledge quality excellence in products and services and environmental management, and promote the concept of quality and environmental conservation in local and oversea markets. |
There are three Hong Kong Q-Mark schemes that companies can join according to the nature of their business. These are the Hong Kong Q-Mark Product Scheme, Hong Kong Q-Mark Service Scheme and the Hong Kong Green Mark Certification Scheme.
The Hong Kong Q-Mark cum Green Mark Presentation Ceremony The Hong Kong Q-Mark cum Green Mark Presentation ceremony is held every year in the form of a presentation/annual dinner to enable Q-Mark licenced companies to promote their products, services, and environmental management and realise the benefits of obtaining certification under any one of the schemes. Senior government official and distinguished guests are invited each year to the presentation ceremony.
The guest of honor of the 2007 ceremony was Dr Sarah Liao, Secretary for the Environment, Transport and Works of the HKSAR Government; the event was held on 18 May at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The successful event was attended by over 730 guests from 43 Q-Mark certified companies.
